About

Welcome to Blue Silo Road! I’m so glad you’re here. I share my love for home cooking and casual living on our family farm. So if you’re into timeless lived-in homes, do-it-yourself inspiration or simply looking for a reminder to live slowly, then stick around. I think we’ll be friends!

Hi, I’m Lindsey! I’m a small town Hoosier and an old soul. My husband and I live on his family’s 7th generation working farm with our three kids. I work full time off the farm and fill my weekends and nap time hours, DIY-ing our small home, cooking family recipes and making my dream home into reality.

I grew up helping my mom garden, can and cook from scratch. While I’m not in a season of life to do all of those things all of the time, I love to find ways to make it possible with a busy schedule. Feeding people is definitely her love language and might be mine as well.

I’ve always been obsessed with old homes and I would describe my style as timeless and comfortable. I love to make my home look beautiful and hand selected on a budget. I especially love when I can make my vision come to life with my own two hands.

Entertaining is hard in our small home, but I want to practice opening my home to our family and friends more. I love to make my home an oasis for my family and I want to extend that to the people we love as well.

If you’re looking to make your home a sanctuary, learn real food recipes, and DIY all the beautiful things, follow along as I share what I’ve learned as I go!
